Movies worth watching in 2015 (Part 2)

This post is a continuation of my earlier blog post (Movies worth watching in 2015:- http://akshysmultiplex.blogspot.in/2015/08/movies-worth-watching-in-2015.html). Here are some more 2015 movies I have seen and feel are worth watching this year:).

Inside Out:-
Inside Out is the best movie I have seen this year so far and is definitely one of the best animation movies made till date:). In this movie, after young Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco, her emotions- Joy,Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness- conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.Inside out may be an animation movie, but it will be enjoyed more by adults:). Inside Out works because of its unique concept and highly intelligent script. Entire movie takes place inside the mind of an 11 year old girl and each of her emotions like joy, fear and anger are shown as characters. The concept itself is sufficient for an enjoyable watch and the fact that movie has been executed well just makes the movie more enjoyable:). Overall, Inside Out is a brilliant animation movie and the concept is so much fun that audience will definitely be waiting for more sequels to follow:).

Genre:- Animation.
Director:- Pete Docter, Ronnie del Carmen.
Bore Meter:- Fun movie to watch with amazing concept. Won't get bored:).
My Rating:-

The Walk:-
The Walk is a very well made movie based on a true story. This movie takes place in 1974, where a high-wire artist Philippe Petit recruits a team of people to help him realize his dream: to walk the immense void between the World Trade Center towers. The movie is enjoyable throughout. The first hour is mainly drama where we are shown early portions of the protagonists life and his passion for walking on wire. This is followed by good suspense on how the protagonist goes about setting up materials for the walk on the World Trade Center towers. The best part of the movie comes in last half an hour when the actual walk happens:). The last half hour is so brilliantly shot that you will definitely feel vertigo and desperately want the the protagonist to finish the walk so that you can feel safe again:).This is one movie that should be definetely seen in IMAX 3D. Also, the performance of Joseph Gordon-Levitt is really good and he pulls off the french accent really well. Overall, The Walk is a superb movie that is definitely a great watch:).

Genre:- Adventure, Drama, Thriller.
Director:- Robert Zemeckis.
Stars:- Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Charlotte Le Bon.
Bore Meter:- Very well paced and engaging. Won't get bored:).
My Rating:-

Mad Max: Fury Road:-
Mad Max: Fury Road is pure fun and one hell of a joy ride:). In this movie, a woman rebels against a tyrannical ruler in post apocalyptic Australia in search for her homeland with the help of a group of female prisoners, a psychotic worshiper and a drifter named Max. The movie may not have much of a story or plot, but it is still very enjoyable:). The movie starts off with a brilliant action sequence and then never takes its foot off the accelerator:). One action sequence is followed by another then another. Its 2 hours of crazy, maniacal and totally mad fun with breathtaking action sequences in 3d:).Also performances of Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy are really good:). Overall, Mad Max is a very enjoyable movie with 2 hrs of brilliant action sequences and non-stop fun:).

Genre:- Action, Adventure.
Director:- George Miller.
Stars:- Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron.
Bore Meter:- Superb pace and Non-Stop action sequences:). No chance of getting bored:).
My Rating:-

Ex Machina:-
Ex Machina is a very well directed Sci-Fi movie. In this movie, a young programmer is selected to participate in a groundbreaking experiment in artificial intelligence by evaluating the human qualities of a breathtaking female A.I.The movie mainly works because of its direction. The movie is very unpredictable with really good script and suspense created is very good. Only weak point is its ending. The ending leaves you with wanting more. Overall, Ex Machina is a very well directed sci-fi movie which is definitely a very good watch:).

Genre:- Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi.
Director:- Alex Garland.
Stars:- Alicia Vikander, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac.
Bore Meter:- Nice script and suspense. Movie keeps you engaged:). Won't get bored:).
My Rating:-

Ant-Man:-
Ant Man is a fun superhero movie:). In this movie, armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, cat burglar Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, plan and pull off a heist that will save the world. Ant Man may seem like a small scale superhero when compared to the likes of Batman,Spiderman and Superman. But this movie proves that when script and direction is good, then even a small scale superhero movie can be very entertaining. The movie has a good comic feel to it and has lots of fun moments. Overall, Ant-Man is a fun superhero movie to watch and enjoy:).

Genre:- Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi.
Director:- Peyton Reed.
Stars:- Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly.
Bore Meter:- Nice fun movie.Won't get bored:).
My Rating:-
