And it is undoubtedly one of the finest movies ever made.In this movie, after five-year old Jack and his mother escape from the enclosed surroundings that Jack has known his entire life, the boy makes a thrilling discovery. One of the main reasons as to why the movie works are its performances. Brie Larson is just fantastic in the film. She may be only 25 but does a great job playing the role of a mother. No wonder she won Oscar and all major awards for her performance:). Even the kid Jacob Tremblay does an amazing job and their chemistry together is worth watching:). With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. The main reason the movie works is because of its direction. The movie is based on a true story of how the Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover-up within the local Catholic Archdiocese, shaking the entire Catholic Church to its core. The main strength of this movie is its reality:). The director does a great job to keep the movie realistic. It doesn't feel like you are watching a movie but as if you are watching journalists having a discussion and various problems they are facing while doing their work. The Walk is a very well made movie based on a true story. This movie takes place in 1974, where a high-wire artist Philippe Petit recruits a team of people to help him realize his dream: to walk the immense void between the World Trade Center towers. The movie is enjoyable throughout. The first hour is mainly drama where we are shown early portions of the protagonists life and his passion for walking on wire. This is followed by good suspense on how the protagonist goes about setting up materials for the walk on the World Trade Center towers. The best part of the movie comes in last half an hour when the actual walk happens:). The last half hour is so brilliantly shot that you will definitely feel vertigo and desperately want the the protagonist to finish the walk so that you can feel safe again:).This is one movie that should be definetely seen in IMAX 3D. The First Order attempts to rule the galaxy and only a ragtag group of heroes can stop them, along with the help of the Resistance. Star Wars is a very well made entertainer. The first half of the movie is superbly directed with great pace and total fun:).Second half of the movie pales a little in comparison to the first half as the villain of the film isn't as menacing as you want him to be. The Revenant is a beautifully shot movie with amazing cinematography:). Also what works for the movie is its realism. Direction is brilliant and no part of the movie feels over the top.The movie and direction have a nice soul to it. Leonardo Di Caprio shines in this movie as Hugh Glass. Movies worth watching in 2015

2015 has turned out to be a good year for Hollywood:). This summer may not have been as good as last summer where there were good movies releasing every week, but this year we did see some huge blockbusters like Avengers 2, Jurassic World and Mission Impossible 5. With upcoming movies like the new James Bond movie "Spectre" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens",  2015 still has things to offer:). This is my first post on 2015 movies I liked,I will keep on adding new posts as and when I watch some good 2015 movies:). Lets begin with some 2015 movies I have seen and feel are worth watching this year:).

Avengers 2: Age of Ultron:-
Avengers 2 is the sequel of the one of biggest blockbusters of 2012 "The Avengers". In this movie, when Tony Stark and Bruce Banner try to jump-start a dormant peacekeeping program called Ultron, things go horribly wrong and it's up to Earth's Mightiest Heroes to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans. The movie is pretty good but falls short when compared to its predecessor. The film has enough action sequences to keep you hooked throughout, but doesn't have the screenplay to support it. The villain "Ultron" isn't as well written as Loki of 2012 movie. Also the story is very basic. The same old Artificial Intelligence gone wrong plot is used in this one. Also the final action sequence isn't as fun or engaging as the brilliant 2012 climax. Though one action scene audience will definitely enjoy is that of Iron Man vs Hulk.Brilliantly shot and choreographed, this fight scene is a must watch and highlight of the film:):):). Overall, Avengers 2 is a very good action movie with a lot of punches and action sequences but does fall short on the script part.

Genre:- Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi.
Director:- Joss Whedon.
Stars:- Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chis Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen.
Bore Meter:- Fast paced and lots of action sequences:). No chance of getting bored:).
My Rating:-

Kingsman: The Secret Service:-
Kingsman The Secret Service is a very well made, well scripted spy movie:).In this movie,A spy organization recruits an unrefined, but promising street kid into the agency's ultra-competitive training program, just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius. Its a light hearted take on the James Bond films and is total fun to watch:). The script is very good and direction is also very well done:). Lot of things happen in this movie, from humour to action sequences, but they are all stitched together very well making the movie a very fun experience:). Colin Firth as the Kingsman spy is very good and he has been portrayed stylishly. Overall, Kingsman: The Secret Service is a very well made movie which pays tribute to the
James Bond films we have grown up watching:).

Genre:- Action, Adventure, Comedy, Thriller.
Director:- Matthew Vaughn.
Stars:- Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Sophie Cookson.
Bore Meter:- Very clever script and entertaining movie:). No chance of getting bored:).
My Rating:-

 Jurassic World:-
Jurassic World is the 4th movie in the Jurassic Series. This movie may not be as good as the brilliant Jurassic Park,
but is definitely better than its sequels:). In this movie, A new theme park is built on the original site of Jurassic Park. Everything is going well until the park's newest attraction--a genetically modified giant stealth killing machine--escapes containment and goes on a killing spree. This movie is total fun:), and makes you nostalgic of the original Jurassic Park movie:). The visual effects and the world created is just brilliant and is really fun to watch in iMax:). It just takes you into the world of dinaosaurs and is definitely an experience when watched in iMax:). Chris Pratt continues where he left off in Guardians of the Galaxy, with lots of humour and fun dialogues:). Overall, Jurassic world is very good entertainer and can be watched for its really good visual effects:).

Genre:- Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi, Thriller.
Director:- Colin Trevorrow.
Stars:- Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard.
Bore Meter:- Biggest Blockbuster and complete entertainment:). No chance of getting bored:).
My Rating:-

Mission: Impossible 5 - Rogue Nation:-
Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation is the 5th movie in the Mission Impossible Series. In this movie, Ethan and team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate - an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF. This movie is a very good entertainer and keeps the mission impossible series alive:). I didn't like this one as well as Mi 4 and Mi 3. But
it is still on par. The movie just keeps you engaged with its fast pace, one action sequence followed by another:). You hardly have time to think about the flaws in the movie. Also the star of the series Tom Cruise is as energetic as he was in previous MI movies. He just takes the action to a new level in this one. Action sequences like Cruise hanging off the side of a plane during takeoff, are just brilliant, considering the fact that Cruise has done the stunts himself. He  is just brilliant at 53 years of age and brings a lot of energy into the film:). Overall, MI 5 is a very good film, and makes you waiting for the next MI movie:).

Genre:- Action, Adventure, Thriller.
Director:- Christopher McQuarrie.
Stars:- Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson.
Bore Meter:- Fast paced movie:). No chance of getting bored:).
My Rating:-

Insurgent:-
Insurgent is the second movie in the Divergent Series. In this movie, Beatrice Prior must confront her inner demons and continue her fight against a powerful alliance which threatens to tear her society apart with the help from others on her side. The first part Divergent though was well directed had a very slow and draggy second half. This movie however was well paced and engaging throughout:). Shailene Woodley's performance is the strength of this movie and she gives her all in this one. Overall, Insurgent is a very good movie with good pace and an engaging plot:).

Genre:- Adventure, Sci-Fi, Thriller.
Director:- Robert Schwentke.
Stars:- Shailene Woodley, Theo James.
Bore Meter:- Engaging movie if you like the plot:). Won't get bored:).
My Rating:-
